There was nothing degrading about the satiric words. Please look up satire grumps to find out what it means. Jill's words hit pretty much on TRUTH these days. It's people like you who still live in your dream world and refuse to acknowledge what is happening in America today. We aren't in Kansas anymore!
Sandra, I've often wondered about that, since when I lived in Canada we used to have to sing "God Save the Queen" every morning before school beganl.
I suppose it's because it's an easy melody for which the words can easily be changed, and everybody can sing along---but I don't really know.

At least six other countries used the same melody as their national anthem or other song, including Prussia, Denmark and the tiny Liechtenstein. I can't tell you how much I agree with Jack. My Son called on election day. I actually chocked up and told him I was so sorry for the results..I feared the worse was ahead and that America as we knew it might be gone forever. Yet it's actually worse than I feared! If we can stop this health care and Cap and Trade nonsense. we can still get it back. But TIme is running out fast!
