Gravatar Hah, it's amazing, isn't it? How they try to give the impression of being an "ordinary" person, and how little things like this gives it all away as a sham.

Gravatar Coming from a family of bowlers, his posture and follow-through are not good. He's heading for some wicked back pain if he bowls like that.

Not to mention a low score.

Gravatar Image is everything, if anyone should know that you would think it would be Barack (censored) Obama. His whole campaign has been style over any substance.

Gravatar Even his bowling shoes are, in their own way, healing the racial divide.

Gravatar Oh c'mon now. He probably went to a bowling alley to speak and was asked to shoot (or is it roll?) one, I highly doubt he spent the time to bowl an entire game.

If he had to speak immediately afterwards, I wouldn't blame him for not getting rid of the tie. Then what? Most guys I know need to look in a mirror to tie a tie. I guess he could have gone to the bowling alley restroom which would have been awkward, or he could have had someone else tie it for him and that would have been much more cause for press,( like geez, can't he tie his own tie speculation?)

I guess the lesson to be learned here is, never bowl while on the campaign trail....

Gravatar It's clear that it must have been a semi - formal bowling tournament. In Chicago, they wear tuxedos at the formal tourneys (except for the pin setter).

Gravatar He must have heard that the alley was part of the Bowling Congress. BWAAHHHHHAAHAA!!

Gravatar That's fine - You keep criticizing Obama for wearing a tie while he's bowling, and we'll keep criticizing McCain for not knowing the players in the Iraq/Iran debacle and for not posessing a college freshman's understanding of economics.

We've had 8 years of a "regular guy" at the wheel, and he's wrapped our great nation around a telephone pole like the drunken frat boy that he used to be.

Gravatar Lighten up Francis -

Gravatar Wow everyone...talk about missing the point.

He's a southpaw! How f***ed up is that??!?

(I have no idea what hand any candidate is, but figured I'd point out something no other commenter did. Thank you for your attention.)

Gravatar Kind of makes me pine for the days of simple politics when Kerry wanted to "get me a huntin' license" as he bought his in Iowa. The Dems just want so hard to be "regular guys" but just can't seem to pull it off.

Gravatar So...what's wrong with being left handed? The first George Bush, Bill Clinton, and John McCain are all lefties, so is Al Gore and John Edwards.

Other left handed presidents were James Garfield, Herbert Hoover, Harry Truman, Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan.

Gravatar Those bowling shoes look pretty darn clean and new. How much you want to bet they aren't the same shoes you or I would have gotten.
I do give the guy credit though, he was out there having a good time, but if he would have had a beer, he really would have been like a real bowler.
And Sandra, it was prearranged, based on the the article Fred linked to at the other post.

Gravatar All he needed was a cig hanging out of his mouth and a polyester bowling shirt...

Uhhh never mind I forgot about how he is against Big Tobacco and Big Oil.
