Gravatar In a letter to the editor in the Kenosha News this was written about Wirch & Troha:

In a recent editorial, (March 24) the Kenosha News's righteous indignation is laughable. The author is upset V.P Cheney's answer was “So?” The editorial
suggested he didn’t care about Americans’ opinions.

When my daughter called to inform the News that Senator Wirch had hung up on her during a recent conversation about voter ID, the News didn’t call her back and investigate. This lack of response is a "So?" for all the residents of District 22. When citizens call attention to incidents about elected officials and the
News doesn’t investigate, one should ask, "Why?"

Is there media bias in the Kenosha News?

When stories mention campaign contributions of Mr. Troha and associates, Representative Paul Ryan is usually mentioned. It is commonly NOT mentioned when Troha was indicted, Ryan donated the money to charity. Stories don't report Wirch and Governor Doyle also received money (over $200,000 for Doyle) from
Troha and associates, yet refuse to give it back.

"Name that Party" is a game noticing media bias. Look for party affiliations in stories about politicians doing wrong. If the politician is Republican, the affiliation will be noted in the first or second paragraph. If the official is a Democrat, the affiliation will be at the end of the story, if noted at all. An example is the indictment of County Executive Kehl. Kehl ran as a democrat in
past elections, but stories about his indictment never mention a party affiliation.

Unfortunately, bias occurs in the Kenosha News. Readers must call attention to the bias for it to stop. Through this attention, the News may become an accurate representation of Kenosha County and have balanced coverage.

Gravatar Kehl was not a democrat. He was pictured handing out the Republican of the Year award at their banquet.

Maybe that should have been in the story?

Gravatar Come now Santa, you know better than that, tell the whole Kehl story. I know you know it.

Gravatar Common knowledge that Kehl is a democrat. I don't know of any so-called Republican of the Year dinner....as it's getting hard enough to find true Republicans lately...

Certainly Alan tried to diversify his friend-base since becoming county exec. Unfortunately for him, he'll need to make all new friends with the gen-pop folks he'll be housed with. Don't think party affiliation comes up much in there.

Gravatar Republican of the year award? Never heard of it. As the chair of the Republican Party of Kenosha County- you would have thought that at the very least, I have heard of it.

I suppose that it really takes an active imagination to believe Santa exists and even more active imagination to believe what Santa says.

Hey Cathy- if I nominate you for the Republican of the year award- will you nominate me next year?

Gravatar You got it sista!

Gravatar Santa knows Kenosha politics better than most he is just stirring the pot.
