Interesting. I think you have a good point about him getting more attention, but if lots of people watch it, he loses out an opportunity to connect with people.
I'm not so sure if it is smart or half too smart.
He's already left of everyone not named Kucinich. He doesn't need to go further left.
If he thinks being this far left will hold him in good stead in the general election he is mistaken. It will help him with the leftards though, but I think he has them sewn up.
It may be a case of him making up for not standing by his misandrist bloggers.
