The answer is simple. Jeff Thomas is not a member of democratic party. I will check on this but Hebert does not have a website, no logo just his name. I can e-mail and ask.

Wow, the RDW v. Kay battle continues! This is almost as much fun as the Wig-der v. Owen feud.

I have no wish to battle her John. If I did, she puts up plenty of amunition I ignore the vast majority of it.
I'm pointing out an ethical issue with their website.
I hope by having this pointed out to them they might correct it.
If you are looking for us to get down in the mud and slug it out, I shall not be participating.

Are you talking about RacineDemocrats.com? Which sidebar, where? I poked around and it looks like that site hasn't been updated in 2008 at all.

Neither Jeff Thomas nor Mike Hebert seem to have active websites.
Seems silly to demand that a blog link to websites of candidates if those websites do not exist.

The candidates should at a minimum be listed Jay. There are four, all deserve mention.
Thomas' website: http://drjeffthomasforcongress.b...s.blogspot.com/
Active or no he is a declared Democrat candidate.

I hear you, Fred, but I've long been frustrated with a party machine that doesn't take positions in primaries. I mean, the party itself is responsible for recruiting and forwarding qualified candidates who agree with a majority of the positions in their platforms, and whom they feel can win.
If you get some kooks (and both parties get them!) running that dilute the seriousness of your party's positions, I feel the party should step in to discourage said kook and support the credible guy (or gal.)
Having run in a primary myself, it is difficult to raise money since many don't want to offend anyone and like to "sit on the sidelines" until after the primary. Really could hamstring a candidate who has the potential to win against a firmly entrenched incumbent, especially.
I know I'm in a very small minority on both sides of the aisle on this issue.

Then the parties should change their rules Cathy.
They are what they are.
