It's the same reason Rush makes money and Air America failed.
It’s a business decision! They don’t need those 80 people so they let them go – that’s how capitalism is supposed to work. The hypocrisy comes when he continues to pretend he has compassion when he is seen in public. Does anyone still believe Gore actually cares about the environment 1st? Though he may actually believe he is doing good for the environment, his main motive is profit, just like any other business owner. I'm not against him making a profit through smart business, but I am against the false premise his profits are coming from. It's a business niche he found and carved out so he could remain in power and have continuing recognition (to feed his ego) as the "great savior of the planet".
