Gee some liberals are idiots. Imagine that. I guess that means the conservatives must be right on every issue because the liberals are all idiots. Oh how you've convinced me!

The real problem is that there were enough conservative idiots to elect a conservative idiot President instead of an intelligent conservative. That's done far worse things for this country over the last 7 years than the same lunatic fringe that is always ranting.

Gravatar Way to hold your own accountable Scott!

Gravatar God, its gonna just SUCK for you lefties in 2009 when you cant blame bush for or attach his name to...well, everything.
yeah, yeah, i know. i know. his screwing up will last for decades..blah, blah, freakin'-blah.
get a new line.

Gravatar True, everything in Wisconsin gone wrong is still Tommy Thompson's fault. And how long did they invoke Regan?

The Clinton recession though was over the minute he left office.

First, they are not my own. I do not consider myself liberal and pretty much every political or idealogical test I've taken has shown that I'm quite in the middle, which does put me left of you.

Second, I'm not trying to avoid holding them accountable. I just accept that their are idiots like that out there (I went to UW-Madison so I met many of them) just like I accept that their are idiot conservatives.

Third, I just am really bummed by the whole Bush being president thing. If a Democrat had been elected with his lack of a genuine platform and his background and been as bad in office (in my opinion), I'd be similarly ticked off. FYI My political awareness started with Reagan.

Gravatar Unreal

I'd say around 2009 it should start to such a bunch less. Even if a Republican is President. Also, don't make up lines and put them in my mouth.

I don't blame Thompson for all that much. I don't even think of him as a bad governor. Same with Reagan as President.

As for Clinton, he had a recession starting soon after he left office. George H.W. Bush had one that cost him an election. I don't know that that makes either one failures. Presidents can screw with the economy, but they certainly don't completely control it.

I guess you guys just get all upset when people ruin your mocking of liberals and try to deny your illusion of practical conservative infallibility.

Gravatar Putting aside agreement with your idealogy and looking at performance. Do you all really think G.W. Bush is a good President?

--ok, what words am i putting in your mouth?
Or are you just saying that the people that voted for him are idiots in one form or another?

Gravatar Here's the line I was talking about when I said not to put words in my mouth.

" yeah, yeah, i know. i know. his screwing up will last for decades..blah, blah, freakin'-blah.

How does what you've just quoted retort anything I said in that little section?

I should be clearer on one thing. In the first sentence of what you've most recently quoted I was talking about the primaries. I wouldn't say those who are strongly conservative and vote conservative in the general election can be called idiotic for not voting for Gore. In the primary though, even if you didn't buy into McCain, the embrace of Bush was idiotic in one form or another, whether it be ignorance, nievity, or not thinking critically enough about the man.
