Gravatar Do you air-dry your hair or blow-dry after application? I have short, kicky (and thick) hair, so the Lotion wouldn't be my thing. If I am air-drying (for wavy hair), I use the super cheap and super awesome Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk. It has serious frizz and breakage hiding superpowers and it doesn't get all greasy and gross. If I blow-dry straight, I pre-treat with Aveda Brilliant Damage control (helps prevent damage from heat styling and adds shine), then I put on Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid before I flat iron and I finish with a mixture of Control Paste and Control Granules. Too many products, I know, but I have found that if I leave one out, my hair rebels. I am all for heat styling, but it can be really rough on your hair, so it takes osme extra measures to keep it shiny and de-frizzed.

Gravatar I blow dry my hair briefly after applying, then let air dry while scrunching for maximum curl-age. But those are some great suggestions! I might have to try that Garnier Smoothing Milk. *And* I've got two other unlikely secret weapon products that will surely make future posts!

Gravatar I have crazy thin flat hair and I love Alterna Volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Tres expensive, but it smells soooo good, comes in a kicky bamboo shaped bottle, and actually works. Their straightening starch has the added benefit of adding body, but I haven't found a way to use it and not look a little fuzzy.

Gravatar I have the finest of baby fine hair. Just started using Aveda Pure Abundance shampoo -- at first I thought it made my hair too dry but now it seems better. Maybe my hair got used to it.

While it's damp I put on Biolage Hydro-foaming styler -- a lot of it. It does give it body and helps keep the shape.

Gravatar you are right I love Kiehls Hair thickening Lotion...it has been discontinued!!!!Where can I get some? Thanks. Joyce

Gravatar I'm with you, Kiehls Hair thickening Lotion is amazing! Anyone know where to find it now?
