Gravatar Hey Real Girl, I bought that body shop magic lippy stuff. I was concerned about the brownness of it at first. OH my Goodness. It is wonderful. I can't quite describe the color and I love that. It's just shiny moisturizing bronzy greatness. Thanks for the tip. You rock.

Gravatar Yay!!! I like to put the sparkly one on first and then the bronzy one on second--it adds a wee bit of extra oompf.

Gravatar Ok, real girl readers. I have found a hair acessory god-send. Scunci no-slip grip bobby pins. I like many of you i'm sure, am in that in between stage with my bangs and these little suckers allow me to pull off that oh so cute front pieces pulled back thing that is all the rage right now. In the past I have had a hate hate relationship with all hair acessories because of slipage but not anymore. These seem stronger and I have alot of hair. Try...all of them are great. Yay.

Gravatar I watched the show, it was oddly addicting like most reality shows. I have been wanting to try the line but haven't yet. Oh, but now I will most certainly get to it!!

Gravatar FORGOT TO MENTION:
I first tried Dirt by asking my local Sephora to make me a sample. They'll do it for you too, so if you've got access to a Sephora, don't be shy to ask to take home a wee bit to try!

xx

Gravatar me and my now ex-bf were addicts of the show. we loved seeing jonathan cry...ehheheeh. and dirt is truly spectacular and makes my hair photo ready super quickly. however, last time at sephora i purchased ojon conditioning finishing paste, $25. i purchased it mainly because it smells spectacular and me loves hair that smells nice... it works just as well as dirt and i find it less waxy.

Gravatar ooh, i am in desperate need of a new pomade! I used to use Aveda Brilliant Humectant Pomade, which was probably a bad choice, since I don't live in the desert, but anyway, my boyfriend used it all without telling me. Maybe I'll give Dirt a chance!

Gravatar I wasn't impressed with Dirt. I got a sample as well (bless Sephora, bless it) and it's basically a cheaper knock-off of Bumble & Bumble Sumotech that doesn't smell as good. I also found Dirt to leave my hair a bit greasier than Sumotech--but it is a much better deal, running around the same price, but for twice the product.
I prefer Aveda Control Paste which has the same frizz-taming, body-giving, piecey-making effects, but leaves a much more matte texture and far less build-up.

Gravatar Ok, I have to admit I have been tempted by the Jonathon product (also by his water filter, what is wrong with me?) and am now probably doomed to heading to sephora for a sample tomorrow.

What I really want is for him to do my hair and give me "babe hair," and yes I am deeply ashamed.

Gravatar What is it with this guy? I want to hate him, but dammit, I just can't. I hooked up to the Blow Out IV along with the rest of you and can't get off the junk! Having said that, I have stick- straight, fine, thin hair. I was so excited to try the volumizing line and even got a bit pouty when my Sephora friends did not have it in stock for oh so long. But wait! It finally came in and I got my hands on the volumizing serum (insert the disappointment clip, you know, the wha wha whaaaa) smelled so delicious I couldn't wait to go back to Maui, but the overall hair outcome fell flat (pardon the pun). Sorry, but this product is definitely not worth the $24 I paid, but I still love that crazy egomaniac and I too long for him to give me babe hair!

Gravatar if you are a girl with curly hair in nyc, i present to you... THE SOLUTION.

www.ouidad.com

these people have made my curly, pain-in-the-ass hair movie-star worthy. haven't been able to quite recreate that at home, but my hair still looks 100x better. their gel is FANTASTIC.

though... if you can brush out your hair, use this product and actually be willing to go out in public, this is also interesting to me...

Gravatar Ah yes! Ouidad! She is indeed a legend. Alas, she's better for curly girls with thicker rather than finer hair, like mine.

By the way, though, the fineness is what lets me brush it out and fix it up with Dirt. Still, this stuff is just great for sculpting hair to do what you want it to do....

Gravatar oh, so you know of the ouidad? you are indeed wise!

hmmm... my hair isn't especially thick, but it is quite wild. and i'm not terribly talented with pomades, can't seem to get them all worked through. i'm too lazy for that straight-hair look anyway -- god knows the curls are way too damn much work on their own...

Gravatar ARGH. For the few who will read this comment, my home internet connection is on the fritz and my stupid work Mac isn't letting me do my first ever at-work post.

Technicians are supposed to work out the problem tomorrow (Saturday), so I'm aiming for a Sunday entry on either Ask Real Girl hair questions or a diet entry--haven't decided yet! xx

Gravatar Jonathan scared the bejesus out of me. You never knew WHEN he was going to break into massive hysterics. I guess that's the draw. I loved the questionable-sexuality, motorcycle riding punk from the first season that rankled Jonathan's nerves. I thought for certain that there would be a cat-fight after the boy took off his shirt in the salon.

Oh, Jonathan! Now I can see your Harlequin-esque mug on QVC and all over the web promoting your product! No need for another season...REALLY.

Gravatar Ahhh...Jonathan! I love the guy! I really do! I'm excited about this one, Real Girl. We'll see what my local Sephora can do for me.
