I got a tube of Idebenol - which touts itself as a "Facial Anti-Oxidant". It's supposed to be a wrinkle cure, but I haven't used it faithfully enough to see results. it smells a little funny and at $100+ a tube, I don't think I'll be repurchasing. Has anyone else gotten good results with it? Or is it just a fad?
I LOVE Paula's Choice. I have charming intermittent adult acne (at the youthful age of 29) and my mom foisted some of the products on me. I rolled my eyes and tried it, and have since ordered almost every single skin care product they have. Love the anti-oxidant the most, but the beta hydroxy toner is also great, as is the dry oil spray for legs!

This is a very informative post--I honestly know next to nothing about skincare, other than cleansing, toning and moisturizing. I have heard many raves about PC from the MUA boards, but this is the kicker.
I *love* Paula Begoun! Most of my skincare products are Paula's Choice.
Ooooh, a new brand that people are raving about. This is a good thing, as I am still also dealing with that charming adult acne thing. I have been using ProActiv and it is helping.
Also, how much do I LOVE affordable products? I cannot count the ways! Thanks for the informative stuff about antioxidants. When you see these products in Lucky or Marie Claire, you never know what to think about them because they don't tell you the whole scoop.

Dear, sweet Realgirl... on your recommendation I hurriedly ordered my Paula's Choice Mattifying Antioxidant super serum and quite literally jumped for joy the day it arrived (my husband was a little concerned with my intense love of yet another product, but I digress) I applied my new product under my oil-free moisturizer as instructed and I am sad to report the following:
This product was in no way mattifying, not in the least. My face was as shiny as ever the 3 days I used it.
Secondly, I am still recovering from the 4, count them, 4 breakouts this product caused. I should note that I suffered from adult acne to the extent that I was on Accutane 5 years ago and I had finally reached a place in my skincare that I was blemish free save for the occasional monthly lovelies, but this product did a number on me.
I am sad to say this one didn't work for me, but never fear, I remain dedicated to trying everything I possibly can, so please keep recommending!
