I have used Purpose Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion with SPF 15 since I was in high school, because that's what my friend's dermatologist mother recommended for my somewhat acne-prone (sensitive! SO sensitive!) skin. I like it a lot, and it doesn't do the residue thing too much (although I am somewhat ghostly pale, and probably not the world's best judge of the white-face factor). It does smell a little sunscreen-y, though.
I like the idea of SPF 30, though, especially now that I'm older and more sun/wrinkle-phobic. I like the sound of the Eucerin.

Alba's fragrance-free is the best sunscreen I've used in a long, long time. I don't smell like a coconut, my skin is protected, and no animals died so I could go play in the pool.

I really love L'oreal Solar Expertise Advanced Sun Protection Cream in SPF 60. Yes, 60!!!!!!!! I spend like ALL of my time out in the sun, and I find that if I get it in a high enough SPF, I don't need to reapply (thus keeping my makeup intact.) Unfortunately, it does seem to leave my skin feeling a tad weird, so I apply moisturizer afterwards (which leaves my face super-shiny) and then a powder (which sorts it all out.) Oh, and speaking of moisturizer and powder, I thought I might make a plug for those too.
CALLING ALL SENSITIVE-FACED, ACNE-PRONE PEOPLE! KIEHL'S SODIUM-PCA OIL-FREE MOISTURIZER IS GREAT!!!!!!! I've been using it for months (longer than most of my products) and I love it. But, you really do need to apply a powder afterwards, unless you find hard-boiled egg faces appealing.
CALLING EVERYONE!
Loreal True Match Super Blendable Powder? Great!!! I was using Elizabeth Arden for a while (kind of hardcore, REALLY expensive) and I switched to this recently. Love it like nothing else. In the summer, I reapply it a couple times a day to make sure that my face isn't shiny. Loooooove it. Plus it helps cover pimples and stuff. Sometimes I don't even need concealer (and I am covered with acne. Seriously. I was my face 3 times a day, and apply cream 6 times a day, yet still I have pimples. Curse you, Mother Nature.)
Well, that's all I have to say. Oh, and you people in the UK, if there are any? DON'T GO TO SUPERDRUG AND BUY THEIR SOLAIT SUNTAN STUFF. Day 1: I put it on my legs, and it gave me this AMAZING tan. Day 2: Ooh, it's starting to look a little orangey. Day 3: AAAAH!!!! I LOOK LIKE AN OOMPA-LOOMPA!
Ok, rant over.

Oh, when I said 'I was my face three times a day' I meant 'I wash my face three times a day.' Thought I'd just get that out there.

Thanks, RG, for this new lemming! But before I spend my money, do you know what the estimated PPD is? Thank you. I'm half-way through your book and I seriously love it!

Thanks SKB!! Ermmm, PPD? Not sure what that is. If it's about postage, I'm sure there's a frequently asked questions or shipping area on drugstore.com.
Hope you keep loving the book!!!

I currently love the new Neutrogena Cooling Fresh (or something like that) spray sunblocks. (blue colored spray can). In the morning, I'm often in a rush, so the quick spray, quick dry protection is very appealing. I've used it all over, including my face, with no problems, and NO BURNS. I use both the SPF 30 and 45. Apparently other people like them too, because they keep selling out in my local drugstore.
In combination with the L'Oreal Sublime Glow self-tanner for fair skin, I've never been happier with my summer skin.
Oh, and if you like drugstore products, I've also been happy with the Physician's Formula bronzer (with stripes in different bronzer shades) that mimics the striped one Bobbi Brown makes. I also use the one for fair skin in that too.

Just a little note... please make sure to have sunscreen on your eyelids. (or makeup that has sunscreen in it.) Dont forgot, cause wrinkles there would be oh so awful!

Slighthly unrelated, but a good tip to all those who like their eyelids nice, taught and rested.
Slather them up with Vaseline whenever you can. I'm serious, SLATHER. Don't go easy on 'em. I do this whenever I'm away for my boyfriend and when I wake up, my eyes always look SO FRESH. Of course some gets on my pillow case, but I usually do this before throwing a load of laundry in.
It works so, so, so well. If you can cover your feet in the greasy stuff and slide on some cushy socks at the same time you'll wake up with softie toes! I had heard this a million times on beauty boards but didn't start doing it till a few months ago. It's better than anything else!

I have been using Banana Boat Faces plus sunblock. The problem is I dont want o actually smell like a banana boat.
I however burn at the thought of the sun so I need a hihg spf even for daily use. Now that I look at the bottle it has none of the things you have mentioned so its to walgreens I go to try the Euc product.
Thanks

Real girl,
Thank you for this recommendation on the sunscreen. I will be sure to try in out sometime in the future.
However I was just wondering if you have any good straightening iron to recommend at all? I need to find one desperately and hopefully be able to take universal votage since I travel out of the states frequently.
Thanks and once again you are the best.

I didn't have much to add to this post cause I love my Dove face lotion so very muchly (SPF 15--plenty for all the mad sun rays penetrating my cubicle...), but aww! I just noticed I made your blogroll. Thanks!
Highlighting concealer next, please? Especially if it's got to do with undereye concealing...

I'm not the real girl expert, but I just bought the conair ceramic straightener (it was $25 bucks at my CVS and was $5 off). It works really well for a cheap straightener...although it smells really badly when it heats up. Don't know if that is because it is new or not. My stylilst has the coveted "Chi" tourmaline straightener and of course that works really well (also costs over $100) but since I only use mine every three or four days I'm completely happy with the Conair. (except for the stinky smell).

And btw, I have extremely thick, dyed and highlighted bra-length fine hair that is naturally wavy to curly. I blow dry first and run the straightener through it and use the John Freida Frizz-Ease and maybe some Got2B glosser on top. (although I think the glosser sucks and am looking for a place that sells the Redken Glass drops which are fabulous.)

I'm not a straightening expert, but those in the know say ceramic is the best. I like this site for lots of reviews. Good luck!
