This is actually a product I SWEAR by. I discovered it sometime last year, and it makes my life so much easier. My hair is by far easier to style curly (its kind of a curly/wavy mix when natural), so I use this after I apply a light mixture of texturizing gel and Biosilk Silk Therapy (humidity makes my curls crazy-life) and then scrunch with a diffuser.
When its all dry, I run a straightening iron on the top 3" or so of hair so it falls like its supposed to without killing all of the curl. And then, when I pull it up at the end of the day? Still looks cute and kind of Grecian-like.

Shoot! About a month ago, I traded in my very long, very wavy (but just short of curly) locks for a shorter cut w/ blunt bangs. Which I don't think would look good curly. Agh! I spent soo long looking for a product like this . . . maybe I'll just have to grow it back out . . . :P

Julia--I'm sure you look great! And whenever you feel like a change, Dream Curls (do you hear this Discontinued Demons!?) will be around.

I'm dying to try this! In fact, I'm going to get some today. There is another blogger who recommends this as well. Thanks!

I like this stuff, too! I bought it once and then switched products when I didn't see it in the store again when I ran out. Thus started a long bought of buying other products that didn't work half as well. In fact, I'd forgotten that I really liked this stuff 'til just now! I see a drug store trip in my near future...

This sounds like it's my dream product! My hair has gone from stick straight to kind of wavy to now very wavy. Except, it's fine and long, so it tends to weight itself down. Have you tried Deva Curl products? How does this compare?

I'm curious about this product now, though I wouldn't know if it would work well with me. I have fine straight hair... does anyone know if this works for my hair type or if theres another product that works?

Christine, I've never tried Deva Curl but the Frizz Ease is great for fine hair because it's weightless!

I LOVE Dream Curls! A friend of mine introduced it to me last year and I've been using it religiously ever since. However, as a girl with thick, curly hair, it's not enough on it's own. I start with a touch of Biosilk Silk Therapy, followed by Catwalk Curls Rock amplifying cream (LOVE!!)...and THEN Dream Curls. I actually find it best for sprucing up my curls at the end of the day when they start looking kinda droopy and frizzy. Also? It's a GREAT product to keep in your beach bag. I spray it liberally through my hair after I've been in the pool to avoid that frizzy, crazy, fried chlorine-hair phenomenon.

Is there a good product that can give relatively straight hair a nice, loose, wave?

It's not hair related, but I do have a drugstore find. I can't even believe I am writing this, but the (new?) Cover Girl LashExact mascara is a really good inexpensive mascara. I've only had it for a week or so, so I can't attest to how quickly it dries out/goops up after it's been opened, but the little rubbery-wand thing does a good job of coating the lashes without making them all clumpy and smeary. It doesn't give you super-full lashes, just basically colors and slightly lengthens. I'm going to purchase the VolumeExact next though to see if it does actually make them fuller, but I'm pretty fair so super-full lashes are a bit too much for me for daytime anyway.

Stephanie, great minds think alike! I reviewed the LashExact here: http://realgirlbeauty.blogspot.c...vely-
price.html
I like Volume Exact, but I prefer 2 coats of regular LashExact.
Princess Extraordinaire: Hmm, unfortunately probably not on its own. Loose waves would be a hot rollers thing. I recommend using a hair product with silicone in it first to protect from the heat.

Thanks for the tip! I ran out and got some the day after I read this, and I've been using it for about two weeks now. I LOVE IT!
I have fine, naturally straight hair that falls just past my shoulders. Only the most humid days of New England summer can usually force a wave into the texture. I've tried all kinds of products, and this is the first one that worked with scrunching alone. I carry it in my bag for touch-ups between work and going out at night.
Thanks, Real Girl!

The best thing ever I've found for my curls is Herbal Essences Set Me Up gel. I put it in soaking wet hair (after Garnier Fructis Curl & Shine Leave-in Conditioner, another great find) and clip my hair at the roots to let it air dry for half an hour. Then I diffuse, scrunch, and voila! Bouncy, frizz-free curls.

I just happened to be looking for curl-enhancing product advice, and this stuff is fantastic! I also tried the CoverGirl LashExact and it is fabulous as well. In fact, I plan on converting to something polygamous so I can marry them both and be happy forever. I may also add Bare Minerals powder to the harem. (Boyfriend shouldn't mind, as they all make his job - telling me how pretty I am - way easier.)
Question - is it possible to add some sort of "search" feature to your website? I love your reviews (from one fair curly-haired girl to another) and to be able to pull them when I have a particular product need would be so fantastic...
