yeah, that rant is pretty hilarious. I didn't get the part about the gays in the navy though, and how that tied into the story, he lost me.
Honestly though, I disagree with him. I fully expect conservatives to avoid this topic like the plague. They're hypocrites--we already knew that. The facade of holier-than-thou morality must be maintained.

1. The British Navy is allowing gays to join. I can't remember the details. But God forbid the many gay soldiers and sailors should come out of the closet. What you won't hear Dobson and the other mullahs say: It worked really well for Sparta.
2. Like you, I'm not surprised that the Religious Right is ignoring JimmyJeff. Mainly because they care only when a law or a child is at stake. In other words, when they feel threatened. This makes sense. JimmyJeff isn't married to a man or running a cartoon show that's popular with the 12 and under demographic or strolling around Disney World holding his lover's hand.

Methinks the mainstream press is ignoring the JimmyJeff story because he was making the ooga-booga with some higher-up, and everyone knows who but is afraid to touch it.

Ah, so we hope. So we hope. But I ain't holding my breath for somebody to come forward. Unless or until that happens, it's just a hope. Meantime, I'd like to see some serious investigation into precisely how Gannon got that press pass. Even Jim Pinkerton thinks that's warranted (somewhere, Ann Coulter's head is exploding right now).
