I just posted some Christmas recipes too. Thanks for doing this - I'm anxious to go surfing!

I was hoping someone would give a recipe for and good old fashioned Christmas puddiing. I'd like to try my hand at it this year.

I've never made Christmas pudding. Actually, I've never even tried it....

Thanks for this, Rebecca! What a bunch of great recipes!

I've been lurking here for a while now, so I thought I would contribute. I don't have a web site, but I do have a recipe for delicious candied dill pickles:

46 oz (1 qt (us) 14 oz) Vlasic Kosher Dill Pickles

Rinse pickles and throw juice away.
Slice pickles into chunks and return them to original jar.

2 1/3 cup sugar
1 Cup white vinegar
1/3 cup water

Bring to a boil while stirring continually. Boil for three minutes. Cool and pour over pickles.

3 Tablespoons pickling spices (put in cheesecloth) Add to pickles. Put original jar in fridge and leave for 4 days. Remove and throw away spices after 4 days.

Enjoy! The only complaint I have with these pickles is that my children think all pickles should taste this good.

Rocky roads, butter tarts, lemon squares, any of those things taste great frozen.

I'll never tell how I know that, but I will admit that I didn't know Juanita was a raider. We always have lots of baking left for official times, however. That could change if our kids read this comment.

I didn't know Juanita was a raider

Her secret's out now. Obviously, she raids in moderation.

I used to raid frozen cookies from my mom's freezer, and then when she'd go down to get them for some official function, they'd all be gone. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one in the family that contributed to the empty container, though.

And welcome, Jane!

ah .. i missed it... i just posted two recipes that I did up today. Ah well...maybe next year if you do it again.

Hi Annette,

I was going to add your recipes to the list, but for some reason I get 502 errors when I try to access your page.

Nevermind! I accessed it and added it.

I have added a Christmas Pudding recipe today (along with a host of recipes I've been adding all week!)

Thanks Rebecca
