But he's so cool. As you know, he's always given me the creeps, and I just figured out a way to verbalize why.
In style, he's the guy white frat boys who voted for Reagan aspired to be, and he is who those guys ended up, marketing managers hawking vaporware. No wonder both Goldman Sachs and Silicon Valley picked him. Who is better at selling fake products?
I didn't like the first Reagan, and I don't like 2.0. It would work as a bumper sticker except no one who voted for him has a good enough grasp of history to know what it means.

I still think he is better than the "other guy"... although I could list things about what I don't like about America now I can't think of alternative tactics to help make the country "better"...that is one of the reasons why I try to stay away from politics on my blogs (and here I am poking my nose into your post!) and it is also probably why I am not a politician either! lol
However, I like to read what other people think and this has been an interesting read!

I think for me one of the things that is most galling is the out-and-out bait-and-switch. I mean, sure, politicians make promises all the time that they don't keep. But I can't think of another politician in recent memory where the cognitive dissonance between the message he delivered and what he's actually doing in office was so great.

Nice to hear I wasn't the only one wondering if Obama wasn't looking like politics as usual.

It's a sad commentary on life, isn't it? Great fodder for fiction. Thanks for sharing.

Uh, Lisa, I hate to be the one to mention this, but you're not allowed to say some of the things you just said. Sorry. In fact, I think there is a crowd of Hopey Changies in the front yard. Better slip out the back door.

Well, I have a 95% survival rating in case of a Zombie Apocalypse (I took the Facebook quiz, so I know it's true) - that ought to work in my favor.

I thought he'd be though when he said he admired Reagan and I thought the Dem base would wonder when the same media that loved Bush so much, instantly loved Obama as well. So what do I know? But when Obama voted yes for FISA and Gates was kept and the wars expanded ...I mean what more signs does one need? And yet there are so many other signs. The Bush media loving him was the main one for me. I'm just now starting to talk again to family who could talk of nothing but Obama and wouldn't let us go on to other topics....now he's not mentioned
