Outstanding illustrated story. I keep laughing thinking about the dog standing on the snake.

And I reckon if you have a goofy Lab, you have a goofy Lab, no matter how old they are. Ya gotta love em!

I think you're right about the goofy part. We call her 60 pounds of pure 'duh.' But in a good way.

Just stumbled across your blog--it's a great read!

Speaking as a veterinary technician, however, I have to give you some bad news.

Labs *never* grow up.

Ever.

And they *never* get a clue.

Good luck!

LOL! I have a lab/ridgeback mix --- the ridgeback part shows every once in a while in a blaze of maurity. But usually it's a big goofy D'OH! They're so fun!

Hmmmm... so you all are saying I'm never going to come home to find this dog watching 'Masterpiece Theater" and sipping cognac?

We replaced the torn screen on the porch and she seems baffled that her homemade door is gone. It's a relief to me -- she could figure out how to get onto the porch but not back out into the yard. Duh!
