chickens! that's so cool! and it's good that you've got folks willing to "rent" them to you.
when i read chicken tractor, i had a mental image of chicks pulling some sort of grass mowing device.

We had chickens growing up. And they weren't pets. They were, however, yummy. (that's such a bad joke!) Are you going to have eggs, too?
Ha Ha, that name made me laugh too. It's perfect!
Rboy decided that the chickens should be named Dummy, Stupid and Idiot, after watching them run straight for our 65-pound lab, who was on the other side of the garden fence doing her 'here comes dinner' dance and barking like a fool.
Then he decided they didn't need names after all. "They school like fish," he said. "Do you think they're related to pterodactyls?"
