He He - I don't know if this is happening in the States, but in NZ there seems to be a group of mothers who don't put any diapers on their kids - they said they can tell when they need to go, and they hold them over the toilet! ???

OK, whatever, but I don't want to be sitting by them or their child anywhere until they are toilet trained!

Ah, yes, the diaper-free movement (no pun intended). I actually looked into this a little before Hurricanehead was born, primarily because I am cheap and lazy -- neither buying nor washing diapers appeals to me.

I think it could work for people who really have the time/inclination to monitor their babies' signals that closely. But I am an easily distracted person and I decided that the cost of error would be too great.

At any rate, it adds another dimenstion to that tiresome old cloth vs. disposable debate!

BTW, Grrl has a Gallery of Idiots post up now, chock full of humorless responses to her original post. Oddly entertaining.
