Of all the things that we started this spring, the basil and the lettuce are the only things still alive.

We'll

Oops - I had some help for a second. Heh.

We'll probably plant some mustard and garlic next month, seeing as how next month is three days away, but other than that...well, there's always next year.

Ummmm, crookneck. 17 years Down Here and no crookneck. Had dear old Mom ("mum") smuggle some seeds in with her a few years back, but Aussie mold had been waiting 20 billion years for it to show up; didn't stand a chance. Finally found a bloke not far from here who actually grows the stuff (don't get much call for it, tho). But by next season, I'll be back on Guam. Why does bad always show up just when you got it so good?

Forgot to answer your question. We've got abundant ewe beaut lamb here, so've got a glorious rosemary bush growing right next to the barbie. She'll be right.

Karen, I envy you your lettuce. It only grows in the cool season here, so I've been without fresh stuff since about April or May.

Guambat, the Aussie mold sounds ferocious. Here it's leafminers, which are already tunneling through my cucurbits. Don't know how it'll affect production yet.
