Yeah, that's been a consistent characteristic of this f**kwad bunch: their propensity to shoot themselves in the foot. Maybe we don't notice as much when they screw up as we do their usual shenanigans because it's a comfort: "at least they're incompetent; thank you, Jesus!" The problem with that is, at least in theory, they may blunder into doing the right thing.
Seems unlikely, don't it?

my friend pointed out that these people, who now embrace wiretaps etc, were only ten years ago calling the atf "jack booted thugs". how the tables have turned.
