"a majority of Americans are united by the desire for impeachment hearings."
Oh, how true.
Is it wrong that whenever we see his photo, I tell my son Shrub is a big idiot?

Is it wrong that whenever we see his photo, I tell my son Shrub is a big idiot?
or how about this: my son (7) comes out in his little suit, and announces he's got a skit for us. He says "Hi, I'm George Bush, and I'm going to do the world's best summersault!" He then proceeds to collapse forward in a heap, giggling at his own political satire.
But seriously. I totally went off on this Thursday. Why the fuck are we still talking about "unity" when Satan's Minion Karl Rove is doing everything in his power to divide us? The GOP won in '04 on wedge issues. Not that we should take up divisiveness, but if we continue to act as if they're playing fair, we're going to continue to get our asses kicked. Pelosi deserves to get (verbally) spanked. Michael Moore caught a lot of flack for comparing the Dems to victims of domestic violence, but y'know, if the shoe fits: "Oh, maybe if we act real nice they'll like us. Maybe if we just keep our voices down, maybe if we don't make waves, maybe if we pretend we agree," ad nauseum.

God - I wish impeachment were a possibility - but it won't be if the Democrats keep acting the way they have been. The same for the press - no one really pushes Bush. He's allowed to dodge questions left, right and center – giving mealy-mouthed answers or outright lying. I'm afraid he could get away with cold murder in front of cameras simply by denying it ever happened.

After some of my usual talking back to the radio, I mentioned to my kids that when I was a kid, my parents didn't like the president either (Nixon).

Yeah, whenever I go off on how Bush is an example of where anti-intellectualism will get you, I remember my dad grousing about Carter and his mispronunciation of the word "nuclear."
My folks didn't think much of Ford, either, but that was because during a visit to our hometown of San Antonio, he tried to eat a tamale with the corn husk still on it.
