Three more months in Germany, where even the most right-wing major party is actively combating global warming, and somebody just founded a party that professes to be MORE ecologically correct than the Greens.
Then I have to leave and go back to Amurka. Sigh. At least I live in a blue state.
You tell 'em. Plenty of organizations out there will do something useful with your money.

Bww-ha, ha-ha, hahahahahaha!!!! I'm stealing this letter outright!!! As we discussed in your earlier post (re: DNC phone calls), I finally got my fundraising phone calls. The poor boy. I'm sure they had to treat his ear for burns, as I gave him essentially the same speech, albeit considerably more profanity-laced.
In the event the DNC plucks up the courage to call, I AM going to reference your letter, express my concern on the same topics, and others, THEN
Drat...to fast on the enter button. As I was ranting: THEN, I will mention, in writing, that I was greatly influenced by your blog, and others. I hope to impress upon them the importance and strength of various blog movement. They need to learn to tap into this vast resource of discontent. It should give them some fucking direction.
This same letter caused some amusement in bloodless-land, as of the three of us, only the registered republican received the mailer. How they got his name is anyone's guess, and how they omitted the other two of us, of course, is also curious.
When, oh when are we going to be able to vote in a third party?
With the electoral system currently in place, SL, not likely anytime soon. The "winner take all" format pretty much acts as a severe "throttle" on anything other than the so-called two party farce in place now.
I think it was Randy Rhodes on Air America who said something to the effect that until people get serious on the local level about instituting & voting for a party that Is "different," ain't nothing gonna happen at any higher level.
