It would be nice to have a wall that lights up, maybe connected to a motion sensor or something like that. A set of illuminated double-point needles would be incredible.
I may settle for making myself a set of light-up coasters for now, though. I have no idea what useful purpose they'd have, but it sounds really cool.

Oh, wow. I wonder how bright it would be if I painted every wall and ceiling surface of my studio with light-emitting goo. I wonder if I would have to wear sunglasses to paint.
I would also paint the walkways and steps outside. This way we wouldn't have to leave the light on for each other when one of us planned to be out late. (We've tried small solar-powered lights, but they don't stay lit long enough.)
As I get older and my vision gets worse, I become greedier and greedier for light. I can see myself turning my home into something that would disturb the neighbors at night.
I wonder if it would be practical to paint the pages of maps and books with the stuff, so we could read in the dark without a battery, or if it would be too much like looking into a light bulb?

First - thanks for the link! And OLED sounds cool. For now, I'm psyched that regular LEDs are becoming more available - got LED Christmas lights this year - brighter'n crap! Dave (husband) is tech director at a local theatre, and said that there are (not very available, and very expensive) LED stage lights out - he could run all of the theatre's show lighting from a wall socket. Nice.
