Time to forward a copy of your "Not a Baby Machine" blog entry to the AMA. Stupid fuckers. |

What the hell!? |

I had seizures for 6 years. Through 2 pregnancies, I was treated for an "anxiety disorder" instead. In fact, I was given anti-depressants that can make seizures worse. I was on medicaid. None of the doctors ever even suggested that it may be epilepsy. And after the kids were born, my health coverage was dropped. |

OK. Now I'm really pissed. That doctor is just plain wrong. He's negligent. He is playing God and he has an antiwoman bias. That young woman needs to go doctor shopping. |
|
Am I really such a cynical Canadian that that didn't surprise me? I am horrified and outraged but somehow not surprised. I wish things that confirmed my stereotypes of the worst aspects of America didn't pop up so frequently. |

I was on seizure medication for nearly 15 years, and the WaPo article, and folks' responses to it, inspired a massive blogrant at chez moi. With pictures!! |
