I'm always looking for mulch that won't wash out w/ rain & is free

I'm going to copy/forward the pertinent section of the Austin newsletter to my city's trash collection department, & include a few remarks to see if I can jump start something here.

I do note that the blurb along side the photo in the newsletter says a parking lot in San antonio uses the glass product to solve a dust problem, while the text just above it from Austin says "Any NON-weight-bearing use is okay." Maybe they're parking dirigibles in the lot?

What a great recycling idea! And I'm with your kids - I wouldn’t be able to keep my hands out of the stuff! I will have to check around where I am to see if it’s available. The beds around our pond (at least in one particular area) would really benefit from that kind of mulch. You always come up with the coolest things, my dear! I hope you and your family are well, and looking forward to summer (I will be interested in hearing how well the solar does in the Texas heat).

Ha Ha, I'm just laughing at the Bag O' Glass reference.
