Got a granddaughter who just turned two last week. Besides correctly naming chords played by another granddaughter, last week she told her brother, "Gimme fifty bucks I'm putting on a show." No idea where that came from.
my 18 month old is counting 1,2.
My 11-year-old son and my 4-year-old son were playing in the backyard a couple of days ago. The older one came back in the house for a moment and told me that his brother wanted to know about "babies being in mommies' bellies." He took his copy of It's So Amazing! A Book about Eggs, Sperm, Birth, Babies, and Families, climbed in the hammock with his brother, and began to read to him. It was absolutely adorable!
I'm currently cat-sitting for a cat who likes me to make a tent for her out a sheet, and she'll hide in it...

My one year old is making cause-and-effect connections that are reminding me of all the others at 18-24 months. She reaches for the shoes when you get socks; she points to the point of payment screen when she has a credit card in hand in line. . .
