Sounds great, and it's one that would otherwise have evaded my radar. Thanks.

I'm afraid I'm close to getting snowed under by all the 'Phelps' in the world. Thanks for the recommendation, my dear. I don't know if I can stand to watch the hypocrisy and small-mindedness that you describe, however. I see so much of that self-same thing right here where I live. It's so disheartening. There’s so much hate in America these days. It makes me want to weep.

TFLS, I sympathize. When we finished watching the movie, I told Hombre I couldn't imagine growing up in such a suffocating place. He made a wry remark that a lot of it seemed sadly familiar. (He grew up in a smaller, more rural place than I did.)

I will say this. Watching the transformation in her parents' attitudes is really something. She pulled them along, not in an antagonistic way, and they grew from wanting to forbid her involvement in the group to a point where her mother actually went with her to counterprotest the Phelps people. They didn't become flaming liberals, but their eyes were opened. I hope I'm that willing to trust and learn from my kids when they're teenagers.

Thank you for the tip. I'll have to look for that one.
