What I've always wanted to know is: ok, so judicial bypass exists for a teenager who needs an abortion. But how the hell is the average teenager supposed to know that it exists and how to apply for it? How are they supposed to get it -- play hooky from school? How long does it take to get one? Does it cost anything?

Congresscriters act as if judicial bypass does not impose anything resembling hardship, but then, it's easy for middle aged white man to walk into the courthouse in the middle of the day and fill out a form.

And to add to that comment, it adds TIME and the thing about abortion is that time is of the essence. Much safer and whatnot earlier. Adding a bunch of hurdles gets you into the 2nd trimester pretty quickly, particularly if you were in denial about being pregnant for a month or so to begin with.

I don't envy you your choices. Keep fighting.

I can't stand Kay Bailey. I sent her a letter regarding mercury and she answers me with one beginning..."mercury, a NATURALLY occurring substance..." Oh, it's nature made, forget my concerns for its danger then ,you idiot.

uranium, a naturally occurring substance...
I am happy to say I never yet have had to vote in this state for a candidate who is not 100% pro choice.
But that's Hawaii for you!
