What a GREAT post!! I could have written that! Excellent! I once hated telling people I was southern, now I'm VERY proud of that fact and mention it when I can! 
heh. When I read "tired dad" I thought at first it said "THIRD Dad"... which seemed so much more appropriate for rednecks, somehow.
This post cracks me up every time I get to the hummus line, hilarious! My little guy won't even eat hummus, but the older one finally came around!
Hummus is to my kids what grilled cheese & boologna sandwiches were to my brother & I.
On a funny note, the other I had to try and explain to my 9 y.o. son what "creamed chip beef on toast" was. You'd think I was describing soup made out of chicken feet or something.
