I really admire Linda's family (read FOXy) values. If I'm getting this right, children whose parents own a home and have a job are too prosperous for health insurance. And if they want a private school education they should have thought about that BEORE they went and got sick. All of Linda's talking points, however, are just smoke screens being generated by the right to hide the fact that GOP members were CAUGHT harassing and mocking sick children and their families. Nice.
You know, since these are the same folks who run editorial cartoons claiming that Gore won the Nobel for spreading horse manure, I find that this is one of those weeks when I have No Patience whatsoever for their arguments. I mean, Zero.
I'm grateful, though, that there are people out there like you, willing to keep up the dialogue. Because I for one have Had It.

I really don't get these people, and my bullshit limit is about to be reached this week. Why the hell do they think we pay taxes? My husband and I pay taxes and are in a financially bad situation where he got canned and I got pregnant (woo)and you damn well better believe that while we need help we will seek help. I guess you should just be born rich with plenty of insurance or never be sick or injured or have kids til you get rich or lucky enough to have good insurance from your employer.
God, it's like they own all the spaces and won the Community Chest and then are pissed when you land on Park Place and there's only ONE hotel to charge you for.

"Because it's the right thing to do." That is exactly right, KCB, and I don't understand why some people don't meditate on that more. Life sure would be a whole lot nicer.
It seems conservatives have overwhelmingly latched onto these soundbites without doing the research to find out the real deal - specifically with the Frost family. But I suspect they don't really WANT to know the real deal ... that might necessitate examining their position. Thanks for taking the time to put the info out there.
