Yeah, and they seem to skim over anything in the bible about not judging people, too. Christianity my arse.

I wonder: would they do the same for a known adulterer? A white-collar criminal? What other sins would result in the cancellation of a funeral?

It amazes me how people who call themselves Christian pick and choose what parts of the bible they want to follow. What happen to love one another as I have loved you? This church should be very ashamed of themselves.

Does "filthy rat b*stards" cover it?

I totally see the logic in this. I mean if they had allowed his service to happen, his gay ghost could have set up shop in any one of those unsuspecting heterosexual mourners. Talk about perpetuating a problem. WHEW!

Nothing pithy to add here, just another human shaking their head in shame at the depths to which our race is so willing to sink.

"As you do unto the least of these, so also you do unto Me."

Christians? Yeah. Whatever.

I try my best not to judge fundies by rolling my eyes everytime I pass one of their churches, but, crap like this makes it really hard.

(I've been to a few in my life and all the hellfire and brimstone gives me heartburn *burp*)
