Earth's Best Banana baby food. Loved it.

Aw, so glad you enjoyed it!
Believe it or not, the thing that most takes me back to the baby days is.... honey nut cheerios with banana sliced in (Luke) or husband's omelets (the other two). I laid up in bed for a good long time, while he brought in breakfast trays. Good times

What I mainly remember is holding my own 8-pounder in my right arm and trying not to spill on him while eating cereal left-handed.

I remember I was so hungry and so glad he was born in time for them to bring me breakfast.

Challah bread--the day after my c-section, my dear friend came to the hospital to visit, and brought me a fresh, homemade loaf. I thought it a little odd at the time, but the next day, when we were told our baby had jaundice and we might not be able to take him home with us when I checked out the next day, my husband and I absolutely tore through it. It was so comforting and soothing--it actually calmed us down.

Shrimp creole and croissants.

I had long promised to make my neighbor Jim some croissants, since he's a great cook but not a baker. The day before The Kid was born, I set about making them. They never got finished, as I went into labor that night.

Fortunately, Jim didn't hold it against me, and he cooked for us all week. I recovered on his shrimp creole. Yum.

(It's funny -- I was just working on a post about him and wrote about this.)

Slow-cooked scrambled eggs before kiddo #3. My mil made it for me at her house while we were waiting for my husband to arrive to take us to the hospital. No eggs have ever tasted as good...
