Poor everybody. Sounds like it was a tough day for all.

KCB -- Glad to know H. is doing better. I share your views on t.v., especially in public places. I humbly submit this Statesman op-ed I wrote a while back:

Cheers.

I'm with you on the news. Just say no.

Apparently the key thing about bumps on the head is whether the goose egg is hard or soft. Hard is good. Soft is a go straight to the hospital, do not pass go, sort of thing. Glad R is fine.

Hey, glad the boys are doing well, but keep an eye on that head! And you left a cliffhanger there with the comment about "I don't care to watch a friend get trashed on national TV". Hang in there -- and you're still supplying power to the grid these days, aren't you? Hope so -- I don't think we have enough sunny days to do so.

I was disgusted that the only channel not airing Smith coverage was perpetuating the right-wing, anti-Edwards smear against Amanda (and against Melissa of Shakes Sis).

I'm sure the doc thought Rocketboy was referring to Smith, but it's all just grist for the TV mill anyway.

Hope all y'all are feeling better soon.

Now this brings back memories. I was nine when I got slammed in the forehead with a baseball bat and ended up in the emergency room. It hurt.

Glad Hurricanehead is on the mend.

Good for you, RMama. I was so disgusted with the news channels covering a dead celebrity exhaustively while skimming over the war in Iraq that I could spit.

Sorry for the crappy weekend. Glad to hear H is doing better.

I, too, hate the local news. Last week there was a horrible house fire in a neighboring town. Ten people died. All of the local news teams insist on interviewing the bereaved family and filming the memorial service. Goddamn. Leave these people in peace. It's disgusting.

Sometimes you just have to turn the news off and walk away. We've been doing that a lot lately.

What an awful day! I hope Hurricanehead is doing alright today.
