Hi! I think this is my first comment here. I ran across your blog from a BlogHer Ad link or something ...

Anyway, I saw this post and wanted to stop by and say good on you for getting out to vote in the primaries. I'm an Obama supporter as well, and I have just been blown away by the massive voter turnout in all the Dem primaries so far. Amazing!

Have fun at the caucus!

I hope you write a post about the caucus. I've lived all over the country but never in a caucus state until now, but I couldn't caucus this year because my primary residence is still in Oregon, blah blah blah. Have fun!

I attended my first ever caucus in Colorado this year -- and much to the annoyance of everyone there, did not commit to either candidate. I'll support the Democratic candidate but I was so disappointed that Edwards was no longer in the race that I could not see casting an otherwise meaningless vote. Have fun tonight.

I actually don't care about politics. As long as we don't have ANOTHER president who will try to murder the entire country because he wants to play war games without reason...

The more I read about your electoral system, the more I shake my head. Glad you figured it out. But democracy? not so sure.

me too - but I'm in Travis, are you in WillCo?

I'm a delegate for Obama here in WA - I'm stoked about it. I was surprised at how yesterday's primaries went in the 4 states. I really had thought that the negative handling things from the Clinton side of late, in contrast with how she hasn't really been able to ruffle Obama, and he hasn't stooped to that level of "politics as usual", would have people turning away from her.

Wow. 145? The numbers are stunning this year.

(Also, I didn't mean for my comment hoping for a caucus report to be an indirect meme-like request. Arcck!!)

There were 257 in my precinct. I'm an Obama delegate to our district convention later this month as well.

I can't see at this point how Clinton can be the nominee, but you never know!

I'm an Obama delegate to County Convention as well!!

I posted my experience here.

Is it freezing in Austin today? (Thursday, March 6)

I hope your garden survives. It hailed here this afternoon, I'm scared to go home and look at my tomatoes.

I voted early but I did not caucus. I just did ot understand the system well enough and I consider myself pretty well informed. As of now, two days afterward, we still don't have a count on the caucus votes. How messed up is that?

Meg, howdy and welcome!

Trailhead, too bad about not being able to caucus. It's excitement and butt-numbing boredom all rolled into one. And no, I *know* you weren't meming me!

Sab, I assume we'll have some undecided delegates at our county convention later this month. I think it would be interesting to go to the national convention as an undecided just to see what happens in terms of politicking.

Jenny, I hear you. On the other hand, if we don't pay attention to politicians and policies before they reach the crisis point, we end up in situations like Iraq.

JoVE, just wait until you hear about the resolutions...

Sinda, yes, I'm in WilCo, where every elected county official is a Republican. I am still floored that we had so many people at our precinct convention.

More Cowbell, I am really surprised, too. Even more suprising to me was that, in Texas and I think Ohio too, the cities went for Obama and the rural areas favored Clinton.

Rebecca, I don't see how, either. Especially not after reading this article about unpledged add-on delegates.

Robin, it's 33 degrees F on my back porch right now. Thanks for writing up your caucus experience!

Jackie, it is pretty darned strange. I know at my precinct they weren't able to verify caucus eligibility on the spot because so many people attended. And again, I say, just wait until I talk about the resolutions.
