Many on the evolution side will not agree with everything Martha Wise said, but we need to remember that this battle in legislatures and school boards is primarily POLITICAL. Thus, we need to accept help from most quarters to win.
Politics is seldom 'pure.' Within reason and with ethics we need to assemble as large a consortium as posible.

Gentlemen (and lades), science is not a partisan issue. What side of the aisle you're on or whether you agree on social issues makes little difference when it comes down to the lab or the field (and postmodernists can go kiss my----)
It all boils down to the evidence. And the evidence rules out "scientific creationism". And the evidence rules out intelligent design as it is now formulated.

This is good. I really don't care what the "religious right" believes. What I object to is when they try to mandate their beliefs.
Ms Wise understands that no one is demanding she change her beliefs and is not feeling threatened by science.
