Gravatar FYI, Klinghoffer certainly doesn't represent any portion of mainstream Judaism. Even the modern Orthodox (which themselves only make up about 10% of American Jewry and are the most right-wing of the major Jewish denominations) largely accept science and evolution. Klinghofffer is a fringe among the fringe. FWIW, Judaism is one religion where science at least is accepted and embraced by a hugh majority of the population...pretty nice!

Gravatar While Jewdaism has very similar creation beliefs with Christianity, Jews are generally much more open to reason than Christians. That is why they are more likely to accept a scientifically proven view of the universe, and also why they are much more likely to be liberal than Christians.

Gravatar Wow, the sterotypes are flowing today.

However, if the Old Testament is all made up, how does that affect the present day Jewish claims to land in Israel?

Does science have an effect on these political issues Mr. Silverman?

Probably about the same as the Koran affects present-day Muslim claims to western Arabia. And don't even get me started on Vatican City.

Gravatar "RSR wonders, who placed Klinghoffer and his fellow ID theorists in judgement who is, and who it not, a good Christian or Jew?"

Probably the same people who decide who the REAL scientists are; and which REAL scientists are allowed to have valid opinions of evolutionary theory.

Gravatar That's easy M. it's the ones who have actual PhDs from real schools and then go on to do REAL science(via the scientific method). Sorry but that excludes creationists such as yourself. I'm afraid your home schooled GED and copy of Omni magazine simply doesn't qualify you for the title.
