I can't say that I approve of the strategy, "We'll tell them one truth, and one lie, and hope they're quick enough to figure it out." Since when is high school supposed to be about students trying not to be tricked by their teachers?
I strongly think there should be a critical thinking class taught in high schools and that it should be mandatory. Most people in this country have very poor critical thinking skills as it is. This leads to a lot of the craziness that happens here.
Teach the myth, but teach it in Mythology. Teach it in Humanities, Comparitive Religion, Culural Anthropology, Political Science, whatever. It's not science. Why is this so hard to understand?
