Anyone know what the qualifications are of the members of the Reform Oversight Panel? Is this an example of letting the Incapable lead?
I don't have much hope for my state legislature, but I do for our teachers!
I can say as a South Carolina high school graduate, none of the science teachers I had would ever teach the "controversy" of evolution.
As my biology teacher said: "Here in school you learn science. In church you learn religion. Deal with it."
As a current Palmetto state resident, I'm actually a little worried. The legislature here is so backwards on issues that I have little doubt this will pass.
However I did get my notice about a letter campaign from the South Carolinians for Science Education.
