Red Tory v.2.0

Gravatar RT,

That clip doesn't explain the CBC Editors or Publishers.

Where do we stick those guys?

Tomm

Gravatar Still hung up on the dreaded CBC are you? Some things never change.

Gravatar RT,

A man's gotta have a hobby!

Tomm

Gravatar This is an excellent, thought provoking commentary. I knew there was a significant problem with the quality of journalism (especially in Canada). I also knew that the average Canadian was woefully ignornant of the world outside their neighborhood. This commentary actually tries to link the two and explain how we got to the current state. In Canada, I think we are coming full circle and the media/journalists are reaching a point where they are looking to the politicians again for guidance on what to say and do. That would certainly tie into many people's perception of l(L)iberal bias in the media - they have been, primarily, the party in power and thus it would be natural for the journalists looking for a directing force to look to them. So, have we come full circle? From a time when the media was subservient to dominant political forces to today where the media is subservient to the dominant political force. Something to think about.

Gravatar Ron — It's flippant and, as Curtis says himself, "quite unfair" but I think it's could be said that there's also a good deal of truth to his remarks.

Gravatar Tomm — Yeah, yeah... I know. I often suspect that you're not altogether serious when it comes to your CBC bashing.
