those were my favorite cartoons when i was a kid. best theme songs ever! then jokes and puns and cultural references came at you at mile a minute. ward had the good grace to give his audience plenty of intellectual credit.
heh. the villain surreptitiously entered the irish cheapstakes (delightful!) as "ott o'matic". even the folks in the bleachers gagged....

It’s even more fun to watch these now than back in the day. Kind of same enjoyment that I had watching “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse” with the kids when they were little. Great stuff on any level, but so much better if you appreciate the different layers of humour.
