You've likely been (wisely) avoiding DBT's vomitorium of a jack-shack lately, but he's just posted something of classic hilarity. In the middle of some typical yapping about the "liberal media", he woundedly wonders why the EC raid of CPC HQ was not front-page news, obviously forgetting that he wants to complain that it was front-page news. I just thought I should bring this to your attention, as you'll likely not believe me when I mention it later unless you actually see it.
I'm starting to wonder whether our indulgent leniency towards that young man is good for him. Does it just encourage him? Would he try harder if we were stricter with him? You're the one with fathering experience; what do you think?
SF — Well, to be honest, I’m a little ticked off at TT at the moment for having referred to my site the other day as the place where the shit runs downhill from Canadian Cynic (in comments made to that drooling, bigoted slackwit “Neo”), so I have in fact been deliberately avoiding his blog of late, although I did briefly take note in passing of the usual hyper-aggressive/defensive, partisan tub-thumping that, let’s face it, is just phenomenally tedious to anyone who isn’t a “Spartan cheerleader” for the self-righteous CPC cause.
I find that whenever I comment over there the only purpose it serves is to whip up the angry villagers into insane furies of vituperative denunciation and personal attacks, so I have to question what the point of such an exercise is. It’s not like there’s any sensible discussion to be had or that the issues are explored in any way beyond the most rudimentary Black v. White sort fashion. Also, I haven’t been too thrilled about being routinely labeled by the members of his circle-jerk as a “communist” (or alternatively, a “fascist”) simply because I take issue with the policies of this government or the management style of the Dear Leader.
Personally, I’ve got more amusing things to waste my time on than TT’s vacantly futile parrot droppings.
Just let me add something to that in case it seems my criticism of TT as being a CPC Kool-Aid® drinker is overly harsh, and that is his shameless propagandizing for the party in quoting actual press releases from Party Central and then using these talking points as launching pads for his posts. His latest one, for example, complains bitterly that the media is somehow willfully ignoring the Conservative’s new crime bill.
“Yet, no media coverage on the issue. Not a peep. Not a mention. Why?” he asks.
But, duh… A quick Google search reveals quite a large number of articles on the issue from the Globe, the Star, the National Post and so on.
This however is par for the course at TT’s place. Generally speaking, i’s just an inflammatory pack of outright lies combined with bone-idle, pig ignorance designed to whip up the most dimwitted, Pavlovian kind of responses from the intellectually hapless, delusional, slack-jawed dregs of the party faithful.
