It's not for PM to decide which mail is to be discarded. All underlivered mail must be returned to P&DC. With PAR and CIOSS, I doubt very much that there would be any ANKs,UAAs or FOEs |
If she said it, it must be true. I have never known a postmaster or supervisor to lie. This is obviously just a witch hunt to tarnish the impecable reputation of one of the USPS' finist. There is a lot of jealousy in the professional ranks. |

Her trainer told her the wrong things |

Elizabeth meet Jaffer. Jaffer this is Elizabeth. Upper or lower bunk? |
Did she not get any Postal Regulation training? How stupid can you get! Who gave her the authority to decide about that mail. Did the P&DC send it back? If not, then all I can say is Management has another real winner working for them. |
I would think it was 3rd class mail that should have had the right address on it. All other mail that doesn't have the right address should have been sent back as undeliverable as addressed. |
our clerks and management delay mail every day in our office. then when we get hammered in two to three days, the carrier is the one that gets in trouble for going over. |
maybe OIC hint hint. I was told they're like commandos on a mission in the philly district. |
when I wasin the Harisburg area as a female carrier i filed a EEO and now I'm a big shot ass in S. Jersey |
a PM DOES have the authority to trash 3rd class mail that is not up to delivery standards for that type of mailing. i.e., Directory Service is not part of a 3rd class rate, so if you get 300 bulk rate letters for a huge apt. complex with NO NUMBERS on them but they ARE addressed with names, the PM has the authority to make the decision to trash them. i have no idea WHAT she threw away, but the rules DO SAY that the PM can trash mail under the right circumstances. |

She must have thought she was doing the right thing. Someone doesn't start their criminal career when they're 49. This is crazy. |
