That is one amazing cake!!!!! (By the by, for my wedding- Mom made me a fruitcake, and I decorated it- 2 layers -f white and ivory rolled fondant with hand pleated frills-and toothpicked lace edgings-and then tiny vases of fresh flowers here and there-very swank-but I knew there would be a number of kids at the reception. So I made tiny fondant mice- that hid amongst the flowers- and if a kid spotted one, he got to eat it! yeah, it was fun.)
I hope that sweet little baby had a good time on her special day. All those little chiclet teeth she has now, much easier to eat rocket cake!!!
Your post takes me back years to when my kids were little and I made and decorated elaborate cakes for them. Lots of work but so wonderful when they talk about the cake for years - it's 20 or so years later now and they still talk about the Spiderman, turtle and train cakes. The rocket cake is beautiful.

You are amazing!!! That cake is just incredible. As soon as you started writing about using fondant, I immediately thought about how good you are with sculpey and figured you'd do a great job. But those faces are just wonderful. And you're truly a great mother for letting the girls eat them
