Ooooh, after seeing her sitting "inside" that snake, I understand her lack of desire to watch Jungle Book!
I had a similarly protective-tigress moment last year when we took our kids to Auckland's SkyTower, and my girl was all but tap-dancing over a glass panel set into the floor on the viewing deck ... almost 300m in the air!!
Bit hard to beat a glass panel to death, thinking about it 
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Ooglie-Dooglie...that is great! Now I'm going to be running around the house singing that all day. Interspersed with a few bars of "The Bare Necessities", of course!
You did good. Truly. Iain has a problem with 'boo' and 'out'. 'Boo' refers to the colour, the bodily function, a book, etc. 'Out' refers to 'in' and, sometimes, 'down'. I understand your pain!
I love that shot of Jilla with the snake! Normally, I would not hurt an animal either. That being said, when one of the neighbourhood dogs was barking at Iain and Para this afternoon, I took a broom with me to threaten it away. This is Not. A. Nice. Dog. It has been known to bite and Mommy was feeling a wee bit protective...I still feel justified (and, at 20 feet away shaking a broom don't think I got close enough to do any physical damage!).
How funny! The entire exchange should make you proud of yourself. You didn't throw your hands up in despair. You didn't toss the movies onto the floor 1 by 1 in a fit of exasperated rage. What a good mommy you are. LOL So far I am thoughoughly enjoying your blog!
