Gravatar The girls are so cute! I like the colours of the cardigan and love the fact that you were able to find a pattern with butterflies, when that's what the wee one wanted. The sweater is beautiful in its simplicity, which doesn't look simple at all. Great colour too.
Are you knitting for the baby at all?
As for the knitting blog business, mine can't make up its mind what it is, but I'm really not bothered, as I post what I like and when I like.

Gravatar What beautiful sweaters for two beautiful girls!!!!
You are loke a knitting machine;only better.
It would take me for ever to make just one of those sweaters.
Glad to see your Claire is looking so well. Jillian is turning into such a little'model' too.
Your next baby is behaving just like my daughter did during most of my pregnancy and still has the same energy she had then.
It's nice to see you are finding ways to stay comfortable and healthy.

Gravatar Love that you kept the sweaters until after New Year's! I agree that was much better timing. I also love that you have a mission to keep some handmade in Christmas and that is wonderful. Says a lot about you as a mommy.

The sweaters are so different from one another but each gorgeous in its own way. I think the colors in Claire's are really cute and you are right, Jillian looks like she's about to go off to college.

Hope the baby lets you get some sleep. Have you tried the "bee breath"? Just some yoga magic that some pregnant ladies say works on them. It can help after the baby is born, too, b/c it's one of those in utero noises that can calm them down.

Ignore the reclining version, but the sitting up one is good. Good luck!

Gravatar OMG - the sweaters are incredible and the models - well - they should be in magazines! They look so cute and so proud of what mommy made for them. Good job Renee. I'm starting my very first baby sweater this weekend and you have sooooo inspired me. Gorgeous - sweaters and girls too! ~chris

Gravatar Those sweaters are fantastic! I really like the colours on the butterfly top

Gravatar What can I say? You, Renee, are a superstar.

Gravatar Wonderful sweaters! Don't fret about the picures - they might not have wanted to pose for you, but the pics turned out nice and natural anyway.

And one bit of warning - Boys are Different. Oh, so totally different!

Gravatar Long time lurker here.
Your girls are so cute. I think both sweaters turned out great. When I scrolled to Jillian's photo and before reading what you wrote, my first thought was 'She's a cool kid'
Thank you for sharing. And congrats on expecting.

Mom of 2 girls(9 and 7yrs) and 1 boy(5yrs)

Gravatar I am glad to see you post today - I have been thinking about your Claire.

The sweaters are terrific and might even be inspiring me to finish the one I started for my son before he outgrows it. I think the butterfly's are pretty, don't obsess over the green.

And yes, boys are way, way different...

Gravatar They turned out sooooo cute!!!!!!

Jullian does look grown up.. really grown up!

Gravatar Thanks for the tip on the Miss Bea book! I'm always on the look out for patterns for my two young boys.

Gravatar To me, your blog is the story of your family life...what's important....
like the kids, family adventures, and yes of course your knitting because it is such a big part of your family life.

Both sweaters are beautiful, as are the models -- Claire is so casual about it - she's done this before; and Jillian, well she looks sort of like "take the picture, take the picture" - it's all in the hips!

Gravatar Both sweaters (and girls) are lovely. I especially like Jillian's pose- it seems so perfect for a pattern picture.

Gravatar I've been visiting your site for awhile. I'm nana to two little boys and am always interested to see little girls for a change. Glad to see Claire doing so well and Jillian looking so grown up. Stopped lurking to say the butterfly sweater is the nicest girly thing I've seen in a long time! If only I had a girl to knit for. But I can recommend some good boy sweaters when #3 gets older.

Gravatar Love the sweaters! The girls look so cute in them. (Well, your girls look cute in anything, actually!)Way to go! Wish I could get things done so nicely.

Gravatar A recent lurker here, but I just had to comment - the sweaters are perfect! The colors in the butterfly are incredible go wonderfully together (at least in the picture).
