Ah, yes...southern California. Okay to visit...for a few days out of the year.

I wouldn't live there on a bet. And I grew up in Silicon Valley. You have my sympathies.

We've got similar weather over here in Israel, but I love the shorts in the fall thing.

My TT this week is all about working in Turkey - of course they've got the earthquakes, smog and traffic too...

Having come from the 'Shaky Isles" NZ I have had the experience of a rumble shake or two. Weird thing though before each quake, I got pins and needles in my lips. Love California - stayed in Pasadena for a while. Great town beautiful roses.

It sounds like you need a trip to Toronto... we have winter - which is not as bad as they say it is! But Spring, Fall and Summer are sooooo beautiful you'll never want to leave!

SoCal has many downsides, but I don't think it's the only place that has hideous housing prices. They're starting to get out of control in a lot of places these days.
