Why is WordPress such a big deal? What's the benefit for the user?
Takes me longer to load the sites that have just switched to it and I can't load them on my old computer, just my laptop, which is newer.
What's the deal with it? And why do you guys want/use it?

On a more serious note, I do prefer the though of hosting my blog as a web app that I have complete control over, rather than being at the mercy of blogger and its bullshit.

I think lots of people dig it because it's Open Source software. While I am vaguely supportive of the Open Source movement and its aims, Microsoft is totally my bread and butter, so eh...whatevah.

K2 looks pretty sweet. I have a long weekend after today's all-day, off-site, soul-sucking waste of time meeting. So that will give me time to whip all this shit in shape.
UC feels the same way about my blogging. That's why he and the boy need to get together and watch curling. We can blog until our hearts are content and they will be too busy to notice.
