Ah yes... we are celebrating in Alaska over the DC lift... bloody well 'bout time and all that. A great WHOOP went up after that came across the national news today... heard across the station and probably even at our immediate neighbors... now if I could just get clear about the carry aspect... Will they indeed be better than Wisconsin, which only seems to allow certain people ownership and even then if you use it in self defense, God help you... weird twist there in a state that otherwise allows an awful lot of freedoms and tends to shy away from a lot of government intervention...
Meanwhile, Obama is (only now) opening a campaign HQ in Anchorage, and he already has people reaching out to radio stations in Bush Alaska... even Christian ones, as he strives to undermine a conservative stronghold.
"Could we get you to interview a surrogate? Someone like Rev. So-and-so, you know, he's one of you."

"That means many things to many people in the modern world, and you don't really know anything about me personally, so how does that make him like me?"
"Well, you're a Christian."
"Riiiight... and what does that mean to you?"
"You go to church and believe in Jesus."
"I don't always go to church. And what does believe in Jesus mean exactly? That he was a prophet? A good teacher? The son of God incarnate? Some guy with a good pitch? Someone who makes money for tele-evangelists? How does Obama feel about the right to own Class III weapons? I have grizzly bears in my backyard and sometimes they can be a threat. I find that I can handle some Class III weapons easier than I can handle some of those massive handguns or even a 12 ga shotgun.... and you know it's very important to get those shoulders as quickly as you can when your life or property is endangered."
"That's really brutal! Don't you have some sort of bear spray for that?"
"Hey, maybe if a bear is ravaging YOUR dog or breaking into YOUR car YOU want to get close enough to use bear spray -- which after the fact actually ATTRACTS bears... but me, I prefer not to..."
I'm not expecting a call back on the interview. Shame.
