Gravatar Tit. Tat.

If you honestly believe you don't have a bunch of petty crooks on your side (along with two leaders currently indicted for more major misbehavior), you're truly deluded.

We would both be better off without the morons in our camps.

Gravatar I've never claimed the Republicans to be flawless.

If you've read my posts here, you'll know I call it like I see it, regardless of party. There definitely are idiots and crooks on both sides.

But the Dems definitely are currently in the lead in that department.

Gravatar Disagree strongly, but I won't bother to try to prove my point. All that will cause is me to spend a lot of time pointing at unrepresentative morons, and forcing you to do the same. I think we're both too smart to waste our time that way. It takes a useless piece of crap to spend time that way. Umm, like Coulter, for example.

Gravatar I haven't read it yet, but I think that's the point of Malkin's book; these people are representative of the Democrat party, both in the public as well as in the electorate.

But I'll wait till I read it to say for sure.

Gravatar But they're no more representative of the republicans than the republiicans who who sprayed racist, pro-Bush graffiti on Democratic campaign HQ in Sacramento, or stole computers from Democrats in Ohio, or set campaign signs afire in Louisiana, or spread blood and innards around the front door of Bush critics. It isn't Democrats firing workers for their presidential choices. (For more of a list, visit http://dneiwert.blogspot.com/200...ged- indeed.html

Gravatar Good article, thanks for posting.

There is definitely no shortage of lunacy on both sides during political elections. And there's probably many on both sides that "keep it real" in regards to their extremist chicanery.

The way I took the book is the way it's positioned in this quote, "The book is about turning MSM conventional wisdom on its head and showing that the standard caricature of conservatives as angry/racist/bigoted/violence-prone crackpots is a much better description of today's unhinged liberals than of us."

All too often, the media only showcases the right wing nutcases. And they definitely are predisposed to accuse Republicans/Conservatives of the labels Malkin lists. I, for one, think it's good to have some equal time shone on the left wing nutcases. They sure seem to be putting in extra hours to demonstrate their devotion.

It may be more of a factor of which party is out of power that determines which party gets the majority of the extreme behavior; the ones that have become "unhinged." That's what the book sounds like it sets out to prove. I bet if you looked back during the Clinton years, you might find a reverse pattern of Conservatives acting badly, too.

Definitely something to look up.
