racism is defined as the prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races.

isn't this a little different, because of the fact that it's black democrats getting on a black republican? or were there others involved in this besides the black democratic leaders? i couldn't get to the site to read the actuall article...

i'm not excusing the fact that they called him an uncle tom or through oreos at him, that's pretty harsh. but how is it racism when it's coming from the person's own race?

Gravatar Lemme get out my microscope so I can see that hair you split.

Yeah, this one might be a bit different, as the members of one race and political party see themselves as intrinsically superior to members of another race and political party.

True enough, though. This might not qualify as true "racism" directed at Michael Steele, from members of his own race but we've got black Demcrat leaders essentially giving the thumbs' up for everyone else to pile on and join the racist remarks. It's damn close to racism in my book. And it's just plain wrong.

And you KNOW it'd be called racism if it was Republicans hurling racial epithets at Democrats.

This might not meet the strict definition of racism. But it meets the definition of hypocrisy. And a few other choice words.

Gravatar This is clearly bad behavior, and, yes, it should be condemned when the left engages in it, as well as when the right does so.

Gravatar True, true. In fact, that is an excellent idea for a future post...

Gravatar and it was Porky that said 'o-tay', not Buckwheat....

Gravatar Which is perfect, as the rest of the white Democrats give the silent thumbs' up to Mfume, Gladden, Marriott, and the rest who've been showin' the hate.
